It was something of a multiple pincer movement that drew me into creating a blog. My mother doesn’t even know how to turn on a PC, probably would struggle to describe a PC come to that, and even she asked me ‘do you have a blog’, the other day .. I told her the truth, I then told her I loved her and somehow felt inadequate. Where did that come from …

Sure I have owned domain names, written fanzines, web fanzines and the rest of it, but I’ve never had a blog. It all ends here .. sorry .. it all starts here.

Nowadays I find out what my friends are up to via their blog. I see pictures of friends kids growing up in html format rather than in person. My ex wife alerts me to things my/our kids have achieved via her blog. I love it all, the power of it to communicate .. but it still took me an age to get round to creating one myself.

I could probably generate 1001 reasons why not. I could throw in quite a few about spending time doing creative things like songwriting, but in truth, songwriting and guitar playing aside, the other excuses are entirely practical and not creative in the slightest.

 So .. here goes .. lets see how long this lasts or whether technology gets the better of me ..
